Good day gone bad

So today was supposed to be Potty Training Day 2. Yeah didn't work out that way. I was woken up with I have to pee only to watch her jump up and down on the potty till she finally went. Gave plenty of praise and we all had a lollipop for breakfast. Everyone is happy, today is going to be a great day, we are on our way to getting rid of pull-up for good.

Screeeeeeeeeehhhhhhh and a big ol' crash!

Today is not a good day, no one is happy, we are not getting on our way to getting rid of the pull-ups. Instead I pretty much threw the potty and underwear down stairs in the basement. Ok I walked them downstairs and they are sitting on the washer. I am spent and it's only the second day.

I have been giving Miss N a choice, either the wow-wow's (pacifiers) go or she starts using the potty. Either way one must be completed or started before she hits 3 yrs of age and that day is coming very fast. A little over 2 months fast.

I only went with the whole potty thing because I am tired of her coming up to me telling me to change her after every single time she pee's. Seriously how many pull-up's can we go through in a day before I have to go to the store and get more. We are not made of money. So I ran with it put her in underwear and she had one accident bit also peed on the potty once. So hey why not really start and take the plunge.

Day 1 pretty much went like this: first thing in the morning she went on her potty, then right before nap time, and then again after dinner. She then sat on the potty after we put her down for the night. She didn't pee but she sat. No biggie I can deal with that. Here is the problem she only went like 3 times in one day. She held it so much that she was bouncing off the walls (her own version of doing the pee pee dance), wouldn't sit still. All sign of I gotta go but don't want to.

Day 2 went like this: Miss N waking me to go and then finally going after I left her to sit and hop up and down on the potty chair. She finally went we had suckers for breakfast all was good in the house. Lunch comes and she still hasn't gone but no accidents. She tells me she has to go and I know she has to go but she refuses. Grrrrr. So I put her in pulls up and pretty much tell her that I am giving away her potty and underwear since she will not use them.

Yes it all ended in anger but I have been through this once before and quite frankly I am ready to give her to someone that had a very easy time at potty training their kid before the age of two. Oh yes I am bitter and wondering why this has to be so damn hard. Wasn't one had kid enough and don't I deserve a break?

I am still angry and the potty has been downstairs for the last 3 hours. I am pretty sure that I will go to bed still angry at the fact that there is nothing that will entice her to potty train. No amount of lollipops, princess underwear, or even m&m's will make her even want to try. Seriously you could hold a big ol' brick of chocolate in front of me and I will do whatever you please.

So now the wow-wow's need to leave the house. It's one or the other I am not doing them at the same time nor does she need it at the age of 3.

I guess I have something else to write about in the next couple of days.
